At Learning to Flourish, we have modeled our educational values after Positive Education principles. Positive Education is grounded in Positive Psychology and educational research, focusing on promoting optimal wellbeing and character development for students and teachers alike. We are a preschool committed to implementing research-based practices shown to increase happiness. We believe the following elements of our program inspire the art of flourishing: valuing creativity as a form of communication, identifying positive character strengths, daily gratitude practices including savoring positive emotions, cultivating positive relationships, maximizing engagement, interacting and learning about nature, promoting emotional regulation, and practicing yoga and mindfulness.

Learning to Flourish School is fully dedicated to meeting the individual needs of each student. We are committed to providing child-centered care that meets the social-emotional, academic, and physical needs of our students. We are invested in creating a loving environment where every child is happy. Every teacher is passionate about developing positive relationships with their students. Students at Learning to Flourish lead by example, work independently, participate in cooperative learning, and develop confidence that they will carry with them beyond the scope of our school. Our superior academic curriculum engages children in meaningful learning experiences that sparks their innate sense of wonder about the world. Children learn to take charge of their own learning by actively participating in conversations, posing inquisitive questions and creatively solving problems. The school day allows for a natural balance of self-directed play and guided discovery lessons.

Learning to flourish has been amazing for our daughter Lola. She adores her teachers and loves going to school so much. As an educator, I want the best for my children, and I know they will provide this. Lola is always doing enforcing activities and I can fully trust she will be ready when the time for kindergarten rolls around. We love them so much— and we have been to our fare share of schools.
